RENAULT TRUCKS WINS THE ERDF BID AND WILL DELIVER 225 RENAULT MAXITY AND MIDLUM TO THE EDF GROUP SUBSIDIARY
In March 2010, Renault Trucks won the lion’s share of a call for tenders launched by ERDF (Électricité Réseau Distribution France), the public electricity operator, for the renewal of its vehicle fleet. The contract comprises 225 Maxity 3.5T and Midlum 10T over a period of three years. The vehicles will be equipped with aerial lifts. For 2010, orders will be placed for 54 Maxity and 27 Midlum. The call for tenders also includes other vehicles, primarily Midlum 14T, Premium Lander 19T and 26T and Kerax 4x4 19T.
The subsidiary of EDF group, ERDF, the public electricity operator, sent out a call for tenders to renew its vehicle fleet. Renault Trucks’ bid was chosen to meet most of the order, which will comprise 225 Maxity (Delivery range) and Midlum (Distribution range) equipped with aerial lifts. The trucks will be used for the operation, maintenance and development of the French electricity network.
The winning bid concerns six out of eleven short and accessible applications over a three-year period. For 2010, the truck manufacturer has already received orders for 54 Maxity and 27 Midlum. The subsidiary’s commitment includes the additional purchase of Midlum 14T, Premium Lander 19T and 26T and Kerax 4x4 19T, making Renault Trucks a front-line partner of ERDF.
