Renault Trucks to show the D Cab 2 m refuse collection version at the Pollutec tradeshow
Renault Trucks will be exhibiting in the Pollutec tradeshow, at Lyon-Eurexpo, from 2 to 5 December 2014. On its stand devoted to distribution and the urban environment, for the first time, Renault Trucks will be exhibiting a D Cab 2 m with a refuse collection vehicle (RCV) body and a D Cab 2.1 m equipped as a street sweeper. These vehicles will be on display in Hall 3, stand B 140.
From 2 to 5 December 2014, at Lyon-Eurexpo, Renault Trucks will be presenting its range of vehicles at the Pollutec tradeshow for environmental equipment, technologies and services. Renault Trucks will be particularly highlighting its offering of vehicles and services devoted to urban distribution activities: a comprehensive offering for sustainable cities.
“In the distribution sector, where there is a wide range of activities, we strive to meet every customer’s demands accurately and sustainability, by means of a comprehensive and complete offering of vehicles and services,” explains Jean-Claude Bailly, Renault Trucks France’s general manager. “It is because we pay such attention to their needs and know how to adapt our offering to the strong pressures those in the distribution and urban environment sectors are subject to, that Renault Trucks is currently the leader on the local authority market.”
At the Pollutec tradeshow, the Renault Trucks stand (Hall 3, stand B 140) will be set up to represent a town centre setting in which two vehicles from the new range will be shown in context. The D Cab 2 m in Refuse Collection Vehicle configuration is ideal for collecting waste in an urban environment. Its compactness and cab over engine architecture makes it perfectly manoeuvrable in town. Renault Trucks has just extended its solutions devoted to refuse collection from 3.5 t to 26 t with the D Cab 2 m, D Cab 2.1 m, D Wide and D Access with its low entry cab.
Renault Trucks will also be exhibiting a D Cab 2.1 m with provisions to meet the needs of vehicles equipped with street sweepers of 12 t and 16 t. To help customers further reduce their carbon footprint, this model is also available in a Biodiesel version.
Finally, since sustainable development is now a core concern with regard to urban distribution, visitors to the stand will be able to obtain information about Renault Trucks’ offering of vehicles running on alternative energies.
