Having visited the Bourg-en-Bresse site and test driven the vehicles at the La Valbonne (Isère) test centre, Iraqi and Libyan customers confirmed their intentions to buy. With these commercial boosters for 75 new and 30 used vehicles, Renault Trucks strengthens its position on some of the most dynamic markets of the Middle East.
During a visit to Bourg-en-Bresse backed up by test drives at the La Valbonne centre, Iraqi customers from South Oil Company and Libyans from Al Nahr have signed contracts for 75 new vehicles. South Oil Company (SOC), a leading Iraqi oil company was chosen by the Iraqi government as a key local partner for international groups seeking to operate oilfields. Their visit to France and the sustained efforts of Renault Trucks’ local teams for over a year ended up convincing the company to order 10 Keraxes fitted with cranes and 20 Marrel tipper trucks. The public works company Al Nahr, responsible for the construction of the Great Artificial river in Libya, signed an order for 22 Kerax 6x4s fitted with Marrel tippers and 22 Keraxes with water tankers, plus one Midlum with boom lift. 30 used Premium Long Distance 420s were ordered by Essahab, Renault Trucks’ importer in Libya on behalf of Al Bohaira CO for Oil Services.
