Renault Trucks has just delivered 234 Midlum vehicles to the Russian X5 Retail Group, one of the major players in the country's retail sector. Ideally suited to working under winter conditions, the Midlum offers drivers maximum comfort coupled with excellent manoeuvrability to cope with dense urban traffic. This contract is a clear demonstration of Renault Trucks' determination to increase its market share in Russia.
Fabrice Gorlier, CEO of Renault Trucks in Russia, recently presented the keys of 234 Renault Midlum vehicles to the Russian X5 Retail Group. Dedicated to making deliveries in urban or suburban environments, the Midlum is particularly well-suited to the X5 Retail Group's activity, since it is one of the country's largest retailers, managing over 1,600 shops throughout Russia. The Renault Midlum is designed to provide drivers with an optimal degree of everyday working comfort. In particular, it features a broad windscreen and a system of rearview and forward view mirrors that make it easier for the vehicle to operate in dense urban traffic with perfect safety. The 234 18 t Midlum vehicles, equipped with DXi7 240 hp engines are to be fitted with insulated van bodies.
Frédéric Mouret, director of Renault Trucks International, attended the official key presentation, during which he reasserted Renault Trucks' ambitions to increase its market share in Russia.
