Renault Trucks and DHL have just signed a preferential partnership contract for Benelux. This agreement shows once again the quality of Renault Trucks products and network in meeting the most demanding operating requirements. The three-year contract can be extended for a fourth year.
In a period of low economic activity, companies seek to optimise solid partnerships. The long term contract signed between Renault Trucks and DHL allows both parties to work on a stable basis in full collaboration mode for the potential delivery of 80 vehicles over a period of three years. Different vehicles are included in the contract: Midlum 12 and 18 ton rigid trucks, and the Premium Distribution tractor. All vehicles are equipped with the robotised Optitronic gearbox.
The involvement of all Renault Trucks teams in the global proposal made to DHL allowed us to develop a strong, pragmatic approach, with emphasis on three main points:
-The proven and recognised quality of Renault Trucks, in particular in terms of powertrain, comfort and cab ergonomics.
-A made-to-measure maintenance and repair contract. Renault Trucks will cover all aspects linked to vehicle management to allow DHL to focus on its core business.
-The quality of the Renault Trucks network and its geographical coverage of the whole of Benelux. Major investments made by the manufacture over recent years to develop its network (€25 million in 2007 and 2008 and €10 million in 2009) seem to be bearing fruit. The Renault Trucks network has been extended with the opening of new sites and acquisitions in Veghel, Lichtenvoorde, Groningen, Hoogeveen, Rotterdam, Olen, Anvers and Charleroi, and will be added to further with a new site in Dordrecht (planned for March 2010).
Meeting all the expectations and demands of DHL, Renault Trucks is certainly worthy of its “preferential supplier” status!
