First of 111 vehicles delivered to a swiss Carlsberg Group subsidiary

Feldschlösschen Boissons SA, a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group, has just received the first 111 vehicles out of the 136 ordered during the first half of 2011. This order was placed following an invitation to tender which Renault Trucks won. After testing six vehicles from six different manufacturers under actual operating conditions, the Swiss company decided to order 110 Renault Premium Distribution and 26 Renault Midlum Euro V EEV vehicles. All vehicles in the order are due to be delivered in the course of the next few weeks.

At the end of November, Feldschlösschen Boissons SA received 21 new vehicles. These are added to the 90 the company received during the previous months. All 136 vehicles will have been delivered between now and April. The order concerns 110 Renault Premium Distribution 430 hp 26 t vehicles and 26 Renault Midlum 300 hp 16 t vehicles all in Euro V EEV versions with Optitronic and Optidriver+ robotised gearboxes.

Initially, six equivalent vehicles from six different manufacturers had been tested by the company for its deliveries in urban, rural and mountainous areas. At the end of the test, each driver and manager filled out a satisfaction questionnaire. In the end, the Midlum and Premium Distribution were chosen for the distributor's new fleet. "On our most important criterion, consumption, the Midlum and Premium Distribution delivered very good results," explains Kay Kretschmann, transport manager for Feldschlösschen. This company shares the same values as Renault Trucks when it comes to protecting the environment. "Furthermore," he continues, "the user comfort provided by the robotised gearbox and the cab features, particularly the easy access and the glazed side door, were very much appreciated by our drivers." Mr Kretschmann concluded by stressing Renault Trucks' highly professional approach: "The final point is that the efficiency and expertise of the Renault Trucks aftersales network are particularly well adapted to our needs."

Founded in 1876, Feldschlösschen currently has a workforce of 1,300, out of which 500 are employed in its logistics activities. The vehicles it operates carry out deliveries to 25,000 customers in the catering and retail sectors as well as beverage distribution.
