Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium has just brought into service its 100th Renault Trucks vehicle, which is also the 10th Renault Trucks T in its fleet. Voted International Truck of the Year 2015, the T is a 26 ton 6x2 rigid and will be used for heavy regional distribution applications.
Coca-Cola Enterprises is one of the largest bottlers of Coca-Cola Company branded products. Since 2008, Coca-Cola has been using Renault Trucks’ distribution range rigid vehicles to deliver its products, particularly to supermarkets, schools and hospitals. Initially, Premium models were used for these assignments. The company is now using Renault Trucks T 26 ton rigids equipped with an Optidriver automated manual gearbox and the Euro 6 DTI 11 380 hp engine. “This economic engine has helped us further reduce CO2 emissions,” asserts Pascal Libens, Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium’ Logistics Manager. “We also chose Renault Trucks for their products’ good price performance and because we are very satisfied with the service provided by their network. We make a point of building a genuine long-term relationship with our supplier.”
The Renault Trucks T, voted International Truck of the Year 2015 last September, is not only designed for long haul transport. In its 6x2 rigid configuration with the Day Cab, it is perfectly suited to heavy distribution assignments. By putting Renault Trucks T 380 vehicles into service, Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium has once again demonstrated the confidence it has in the French brand. To mark the occasion, the 100th vehicle has a special “Coca-Cola” registration plate in the brand’s distinctive red colour.
