The Aravi team makes Renault Trucks front runner in the French truck racing competition
Success for the Aravi team with three victories for Lionel Montagne with his Renault Premium, and success for Renault Trucks which put on a splendid show throughout the weekend. This third stage of the French Truck Racing Cup at Magny-Cours heralds a fine end to the season for the manufacturer and its team.
At Magny-Cours, Lionel Montagne, Aravi Team driver and current holder of the French Championship crown, put in his best performance of the season by winning three races out of four during the weekend. He is accompanied by a whole team which proudly and powerfully asserts its ambition: to win the 2012 French Truck Racing Cup with its Renault Premium which, this year, has benefited from a number of improvements and, above all, a new look.
These three victories put Lionel Montagne at the top of the French Championship rankings. The ultimate winner will be decided during the last meeting of the season at Le Mans on 7 and 8 October. An event which holds the promise of some thrilling moments for all truck racing enthusiasts.
Renault Trucks had deployed major event-driven resources at Magny-Cours. The 250 customers invited during the weekend were, in particular, able to admire the manufacturer's special editions. Some 20 customers owning these outstanding vehicles were there to open the traditional parade of decorated trucks with their Magnum Vega, Magnum Route 66, Magnum Cape to Cape, Premium Truck Racing and Magnum Legend models. The Premium Truck Racing vehicle also served as the Pace Truck for each race.
Brand fans could also admire the Premium Selection vehicles, the Renault Trucks used vehicle offering, as well as a Premium Long Distance specially decorated for the occasion in the colours of the French flag. For Renault Trucks took advantage of its high-profile presence at Magny-Cours to continue its "French Talents" communications campaign. This is designed to proudly fly the brand's colours in France and remind everyone of the major contribution the manufacturer makes to the country's economy.
As a sign of the spectators’ empathy with the brand, the Renault Trucks boutique - set up for the second year running at the Magny track - was full of customers throughout the whole weekend. To mark the occasion, it was featuring the full Renault Trucks and Renault Trucks Racing collections.
During the next stage of the French Championship, at Le Mans, Renault Trucks will once again be supporting the Aravi Team with many attractions and exhibitions.
