The Most circuit in the Czech Republic is where the MKR Technology team was born. For this 2012 edition of the Championship, Renault Trucks had once again pulled out all the stops. With over 900 customers invited, a dozen vehicles on display as well as attractions in all the paddocks and around the track, the French manufacturer was omnipresent. In terms of results, the team went away with three podium places and retained its lead in the team rankings.
For this eighth meeting in the season, the MKR Technology - Renault Trucks team was competing on its "home" Most circuit in the Czech Republic. At the end of the weekend the team had won three podium places out of four races: two with Markus Oestreich in the first race and the last race and the third with Marcus Bösiger in the third race. With this good result, Markus Oestreich has even taken the third place in the overall rankings from his team-mate Adam Lacko. In the team rankings, the Renault Trucks - MKR Technology team remains in the lead with 750 points. Meanwhile, at the wheel of the Premium Racing vehicle fielded by Team 14, Anthony Janiec also stood out during the second race by gaining ground in a spectacular fashion. Starting from the stands, and therefore initially positioned last, he ended the race in fifth place!
Renault Trucks provided the team competing on its home ground with the support it deserved, doing everything in a big way. Over 900 Czech, Slovak, German, Hungarian and Polish customers had been invited to share their enthusiasm for truck racing with the manufacturer's team throughout the weekend. On the Sunday, a parade of Renault Trucks vehicles presented the Long Distance range as well as the manufacturer's Construction range. The 97,000 visitors who came to the circuit throughout the weekend were also able to take advantage of several attractions and activities offered by Renault Trucks. In particular, the manufacturer's stand featured a giant screen relaying the starting line and what was taking place in the stands, with descriptions provided by two Czech TV commentators. In addition, autograph signing sessions by the drivers, as well as the presence of Czech Olympic rowing champion Mirka Knapková, delighted all those visiting the stand.
Finally, for all the fans who were unable to attend in person, the Renault Trucks Racing Internet site, www.renault-trucks.com/truckracing, broadcast the weekend's four races live as they happened and is now offering them as a replay. All these initiatives once again enabled Renault Trucks to share its passion for trucks and competition driving with its customers and many supporters.
The manufacturer is looking forward to meeting up with all its fans again during the weekend of the 22 and 23 September for the next race which will take place on the Zolder circuit in Belgium.
