The (very) fine week end for Renault Trucks-MKR Technology

A win, three podium places and a one-two-three… On home ground in the Czech Republic, the Renault Trucks-MKR Technology team certainly did its spectators proud. In the first race of the weekend, Adam Lacko pulled off his first European Truck Racing Championship win. A taste of victory that set a trend. On Sunday, the team scored a superb one-two-three with its three trucks occupying the top steps of the podium! The season's ambition to retain the championship crown has never looked more achievable! The 1,100 customers invited to attend the event in the Renault Trucks tent and in the stands were absolutely delighted!

A first win is an important milestone in any sporting career. Which is why the young Adam Lacko will long remember that it was at Most, in the Czech Republic, that he earned pole position and occupied the highest step on the podium of a truck racing Grand Prix event for the first time. This reminded the whole team just how exhilarating the taste of success can be. But the best was yet to come, since in the first race on the following day, all three trucks took the first three places! This historic one-two-three was perfectly timed. For one thing, it took place before the spectators at Most, all of them fervent MKR Technology supporters because the team's headquarters is located only a few kilometres away and secondly, because it brings the possibility of winning and retaining the European Championship crown within reach. Now only 32 points behind the current leader, with three more events to go, hopes are riding high.

The 40,000 spectators were delighted with such a spectacular show of prowess. They included some 1,000 Czech, Polish and German customers invited by Renault Trucks during the weekend to enjoy the races from the stands and the Renault Trucks Racing tent. The Pace Truck for the four races was also a Renault Premium Truck Racing special edition and the entire Renault Trucks range was on display around the track. The next Championship event will be the Zolder Grand Prix in Belgium on 17 and 18 September.
