RENAULT TRUCKS TO DELIVER 65 PREMIUM LONG DISTANCE VEHICLES TO MARCOTRAN, ONE OF SPAIN'S LARGEST HAULIERS
Haulage company Marcotran, based in Spain, is one of the major players in the international transport market. Already partially equipped with Renault Trucks vehicles, it has now reasserted its confidence in the manufacturer by placing a new order for 65 Premium Long Distance trucks. The low consumption, reliability and highly competitive operating costs - clearly demonstrated by the Fehrenkötter test triumph in September 2010 - decisively influenced the customer's choice.
Renault Trucks is to deliver 65 new Premium Long Distance vehicles to the Spanish international hauliers Marcotran. This company has reasserted its confidence in Renault Trucks and chosen the Premium Long Distance to handle its increased volume of business. The Renault Premium Long Distance, currently the vehicle with the lowest consumption in its category, was selected by the company's fleet managers for its excellent consumption, reliability and low operating costs.
Based in Saragossa (Spain), Marcotran operates a fleet of 550 vehicles which are used for international transport. The additional 65 Premium Long Distance vehicles will be used to increase frequency on its regular routes between Spain, France and Portugal and optimise the company's specialisation in transport flows within Europe as well as to countries outside the community such as Morocco, Russia and Turkey. The sales operation was conducted by the manufacturer's subsidiary in the region: Renault Trucks Commercial Europe (RTCE) Saragossa, managed by Philippe Vinuesa.
Acknowledged for its road handling and low consumption, in September 2010, the Renault Premium Long Distance was declared the winner of the Fehrenkötter test carried out by a German haulier which compared six trucks made by six different manufacturers. After three years of use under actual operating conditions, the Renault Premium Long Distance was declared to be the best vehicle available in terms of consumption and reliability.
