Renault Trucks turns to a group renowned for its experience to consolidate its dealership network in Belgium

Antwerp holds a key position in the Belgian market. Thanks to its port facility, the province of Antwerp alone accounts for 25% of Belgian hauliers. This has encouraged Renault Trucks Belgium to entrust all of its sales outlets and service activities in Antwerp to the Coquidé Group, one of Renault Trucks’ major partners for the distribution, lease and repair of commercial and light commercial vehicles. The new structure will be operational as of October 1st 2008. Customers will thereby benefit from a comprehensive service thanks to the group’s well-documented experience.

On the Renault Trucks site in Antwerp, sales until now have been handled by Renault Trucks Belgium with repair services handled by the private investor Vergauwen. From October 1st, all these activities will be handed over to a single player, the Coquidé Group. Lease operations will be added later.

Renault Trucks and Coquidé Group already have close links since the Group, based in the North of France, is one of Renault Trucks’ biggest partners. It has solid experience in sales lease and repair of commercial and light commercial vehicles.

Renault Trucks has chosen to go with this big partner, entrusting it with the activities – and facilities – to best meet the needs of its customers; “The new structure will fulfil one of our major ambitions which is the immediate and continuous improvement of customer service”, explains Christophe Dekoninck, Marketing Manager at Renault Trucks Belgium. Indeed, Renault Trucks’ customers will now have a single interface able to provide solutions to their various needs. The new structure will be known as Trucks Center Antwerp.

This operation illustrates the excellent relationship that the French commercial and light commercial vehicle manufacturer has with one of its major partners. By handing over a facility in which Renault Trucks Belgium has invested €800,000, the French CV brand is certainly acknowledging the Coquidé Group’s achievements. Coquidé is banking on a consolidation of the French manufacturer’s already substantial European presence.
