RENAULT TRUCKS FRANCE DONATES TWO RENAULT MIDLUM AND A RENAULT MASTER TO RESTOS DU CŒUR
In line with its humanitarian commitments, Renault Trucks France is supporting Restos du Cœur for their 2010 campaign. The French commercial vehicle manufacturer donated 3 vehicles to the association’s Rhône-Alpes branch on Thursday November 4th: two Renault Midlum and a Renault Master. The official hand-over took place at Restos du Cœur’s regional depot at Bron airport. The Renault Master was filled with food supplies collected from Renault Trucks’ Lyon-based employees (Rhône).
The 26th Restos du Cœur winter campaign officially opens on November 29th 2010. And for the occasion, the Rhône-Alpes branch of the association founded by Coluche will have the use of three new vehicles. Renault Trucks France handed over the keys to two 12 ton Renault Midlum and a Renault Master by Renault Trucks LCV on Thursday November 4th to Mr Pierre Garel, President of the Rhône-Alpes branch of Restos du Cœur. The vehicles will take an active role in the distribution of meals to the least privileged throughout the 2010 campaign and beyond. This donation reflects the company’s and its employees’ unfailing support for the association.
Initiated by employees, the venture includes a collection of food supplies from Renault Trucks employees in Lyon (Rhône). After one week, 1 120 kgs of staple products had been collected, filling up the Renault Trucks Master. Beyond the solidarity benefits, the across-the-board support for the initiative has brought people from different departments together and improved cohesion and effectiveness amongst Renault Trucks France teams.
