RENAULT TRUCKS EXPANDS ITS NETWORK IN THE MIDDLE EAST WITH THE OPENING OF A NEW DEALERSHIP IN LIBYA

Stefano Chmielewski, Renault Trucks' CEO, recently inaugurated the brand new dealership built by its local dealer, Essahab. This company had decided to make a huge investment in bringing the Renault Trucks brand to the fore via a modern dealership capable of incorporating all sales and after sales activities. In 2009, Essahab sold more than 150 new vehicles and over 100 used vehicles, making Renault Trucks one of the leading European HGV manufacturers operating in the country for the first time.

The opening of this new dealership marks a new stage in the manufacturer's growing presence in Libya. Managed by Essahab, it should enable Renault Trucks to play a key role in the country.

Located in the capital, Tripoli, it benefits from the most modern facilities, enabling it to offer customers new and used vehicles, as well as an aftersales service and assistance with financing.

Six years after the end of the commercial embargo, the country is launching a monumental reconstruction programme to modernise its infrastructure, build homes and shopping centres, turning Tripoli into a gigantic worksite.

Essahab sold more than 150 new vehicles and over 100 used vehicles in 2009, making Renault Trucks one of the country's front ranking European commercial vehicle manufacturers for the first time.
