Renault Trucks sets up a subsidiary in Finland and states its case for the Scandinavian market
To contribute to the development of its international network, Renault Trucks has set up its own subsidiary in Finland. As part of Renault Trucks Nordic (combining the manufacturer’s activities on the Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish markets), the new subsidiary, Renault Trucks Finland Oy, will soon be open to Finnish customers manned by skilled, Renault Trucks-trained staff.
So as to conquer new customers in growth markets, Renault Trucks is strengthening its positions in the North European zone. With the creation of its new subsidiary which has taken over the business of the former importer, and hot on the heels of Renault Trucks Denmark and Renault Trucks Norway, the manufacturer’s intentions are clear: “Our European strategy focuses on the creation of new subsidiaries and partnerships with private networks on the local market. This is what is going on in Finland. We were lucky enough to be able to take on former Renault Trucks employees, so this will be a wholly new subsidiary but with staff already trained to the needs of our customers”, says Mogens Nielsen, Director of Renault Trucks Nordic.
Sales and after market staff will be reinforced in order to increase Renault Trucks presence on the Finnish Market. “We will continue to focus on development of the already strong network and our service in Finland will only increase for the customers benefit. Finland is a very important market for Renault Trucks Nordic and we are looking forward to increase our visibility here and continue the positive development on the truck market”, adds MD Mogens Nielsen.
Renault Trucks Nordic has its head office in Vallensbaek, south of Copenhagen, handling most back office functions for Denmark, Norway and Finland. Front office tasks like sales and after market remain in the local markets.
