President of Renault Trucks SAS since 1 November, Heinz-Jürgen Löw presented his new organisation for Renault Trucks on 30 November. This is part of the overall reorganisation being carried out in the AB Volvo Group, to which Renault Trucks belongs. The aim for the AB Volvo Group, as for Renault Trucks SAS, is to implement a more efficient organisation to exploit the potential of each brand and product within the trucks branch as of 1 January 2012.

From 1st January 2012, marketing, sales and the management of the four trucks brands of the Volvo Group will be divided up into three new geographical entities: Americas (North America and Latin America), EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific).
Renault Trucks, as with each brand, will have responsibility for its own positioning and development. “This change provides an excellent opportunity for it to develop its full potential, thanks to a more efficient and straightforward organisation” says Heinz-Jürgen Löw.
As a true global ambassador of the Renault Trucks brand, Heinz will lead the management team of Renault Trucks EMEA Sales and Global Brand, which has been created in the scope of the more global reorganisation of the trucks arm of the Volvo Group. Heinz will have responsibility for the positioning and development of the Renault Trucks brand on a global scale and, more specifically, responsibility for sales and marketing of Renault Trucks for the Europe, Middle East and Africa zone. Heinz succeeds Stefano Chmielewski who is now in charge of implementing a new Volvo Group entity ‘Governmental Sales’ which will come into operation on 1st January 2012.
The production and vehicle assembly for all Volvo Group brands will be regrouped under Group Trucks Operations, to which the Renault Trucks factories will be attached.

Renault Trucks became part of the Volvo group in 2001. The Volvo Group is one of the world leaders in transport solutions, particularly in the field of industrial vehicles and diesel engines. The group relies on four strong trucks brands – Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks – that until now were organised as separate commercial and industrial entities.
At the beginning of October 2011, the recently appointed president of the Volvo Group, Olof Persson, announced a reorganisation of the Groups trucks activities. The objective: being to improve the coordination between the different trucks brands and the development and production units, in order to better focus on the customers and the brands.

On 1st November Heinz-Jürgen Löw was appointed president of Renault Trucks SAS.
Heinz-Jürgen Löw was born in Germany in 1964 and studied at business school. He has held several sales director positions and joined Renault Trucks in 1999 as Sales Director of Renault Trucks Germany. In 2001, he was appointed Managing Director of Renault Trucks Germany and Austria. In 2006, he took on the role of Commercial Director of Renault Trucks Europe and then became the Director of Renault Trucks Europe in 2007.
