As part of the 13th World Trades Show at Lyon Eurexpo from March 19-22 2009, Renault Trucks was present on the stand of France’s national automobile training association (ANFA). The manufacturer brought along a Renault Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech so that budding Commercial and Light Commercial Vehicle maintenance technicians could familiarise themselves with the technologies of the future.
The participation of Renault Trucks at the World Trades Show was right in line with the partnership between Renault Trucks France, GAC (a dealers’ group) and ANFA (national automobile training association) targeting recruitment and apprenticeship training for young technicians looking to work in the maintenance of Commercial Vehicles (CV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) within French network dealerships. This sandwich course type training is delivered in collaboration with 7 centres spread over the whole of France:
• Lycée professionnel de Marcq-en-Barœul (59)
• Centre des formations industrielles d’Orly (94)
• Lycée Bugatti de Mulhouse (68)
• Lycée Gabriel-Voisin de Bourg-en-Bresse (01)
• Lycée Alexandre-Dumas de Cavaillon (84)
• Lycée polyvalent Jean-Baylet de Valence-D’agen (82)
• Centre de formation Le Porteau de Poitiers (86)
On the ANFA stand, the presence of a Renault Magnum 500hp tractor and the Renault Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech hybrid concept vehicle gave a good indication of new truck technologies for which maintenance and repair will have to be provided by future apprentices using suitable diagnostic tools.
Whilst the young people’s numerous exchanges with Renault Trucks professionals were an opportunity to discover the world of trucks, the event was also a chance for them to discover a promising profession with good career opportunities and high levels of responsibility.
