The Finnish transport company Hakonen Oy and Renault Trucks’ importer in Finland, LT Finland Oy, have signed an agreement for the purchase of 27 trucks from the Renault Trucks Distribution range.
The trucks ordered by Hakonen Oy, a removals and local delivery specialist, are from the Midlum and Premium Distribution ranges, and will be delivered the coming Autumn and in the Spring of 2009. All these vehicles will be equipped with new dXi engines providing major fuel savings and respecting new Euro5 emissions standards which come into force next year. The bodywork and elevated tailgates will be produced by Finnish manufacturers.
According to Frederick Ekros, Sales Director at Hakonen Oy, “the choice of low-emission Euro5 engines for our trucks is in keeping with our values since we also wish, in the future, to offer our customers high quality transport solutions which respect the environment”.
Mr Ekros also commented that drivers are extremely satisfied with this decision and look forward to receiving their new trucks.
The CEO of LT Finland Oy, Erkki Evilä, emphasised that over the past two years, Renault Trucks has invested enormously in fuel savings, a real success factor for Renault Trucks on the Finnish market. “Numerous tests have proved that Renault Trucks’ vehicles are the most fuel-economic on the market ”, he added.
This order is the logical follow-up to the purchase of Renault Trucks vehicles already been placed by Hakonen Oy. Renault Trucks has already supplied over 20 of the 40 trucks they have in their fleet.
