For the fourth year running, the Sauber F1 Team will be traveling to the European Formula 1 Grand Prix events with Renault Trucks vehicles. At the end of April, the Swiss team took delivery of four Renault Trucks T 520 High vehicles for transporting equipment and personal to the tracks.
At the same time as Formula 1's European season was just getting underway with the Spanish Grand Prix, the Sauber F1 Team once again demonstrated its confidence in Renault Trucks for the fourth year running. At the end of April, the Team took delivery of four Renault Trucks T High vehicles featuring the DTI 13 520 hp engine and a perfectly flat cab floor. The Renault Trucks T vehicles' productivity and the flat floored cab's comfort with its many storage compartments were both key factors influencing the purchasing decision.
The Sauber F1 Team will be using the vehicles for carrying personnel and equipment to all the European Grand Prix events. Altogether, its fleet is to consist of 14 Renault Trucks Long Haul vehicles and 12 of its LCVs.
The vehicles' keys were presented to Monisha Kaltenborn, the Sauber F1 Team's Manager, by Luzi Thomann, Managing Director of Thomann Nutzfahrzeuge AG, Renault Trucks' partner and dealer at a ceremony attended by Adrian Sutil, one of the team's drivers. The four Renault Trucks T vehicles had been painted in the team's livery.
