A podium place and a Spanish championship crown on the Jarama track

During the penultimate event of the truck racing season which took place before 50,000 spectators, the Renault Trucks - MKR Technology team rounded off the week end with a podium place for Markus Bösiger and a Spanish Championship Crown for Adam Lacko. This Spanish leg of the competition was also an opportunity to present the new Renault Trucks range in Spain to customers and members of the public.

On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October, the penultimate weekend of the current Truck Racing season took place in Spain on the Jarama track North of Madrid, before a crowd of some 50,000 spectators.

Renault Trucks took advantage of this major meeting to display all the vehicles from its new range in Spain. Before each race, five Renault Trucks T vehicles went around the track applauded by the spectators and an exhibition revealed the new models to the general public and the 200 customers who had travelled to the track for this event.

On Saturday 5 October, the press conference organised by the manufacturer also served to launch the “R/Evolution Roadshow” which will begin next week in Santander enabling more than 500 customers to discover and test drive the vehicles from the new Renault Trucks range in eight towns on the Iberian peninsula over an eight week period.

Out on the track, the Renault Trucks - MKR-Technology team had to contend with some bad luck during the third race on the Sunday. Having been involved in an accident, Adam Lacko was forced to leave the track. The weekend was rounded off by a podium place for Markus Bösiger, who came in third during the fourth race on Sunday and there was also a Spanish Championship Crown for Adam Lacko who beat Spanish driver Antonio Albacete and the Portuguese Jose Fernandes Teodosio.

The last Truck Racing meeting of the season will take place on 12 and 13 October at Le Mans, France.
