For the anti-penultimate race of the season, the Renault Trucks - MKR Technology team brought the weekend to a splendid conclusion with Markus Bösiger being the first across the line at the end of the last race. Several thousand spectators and over 1,500 customers were able to watch the spectacle on the track and get their first view of the new Renault Trucks range with several vehicles on display around the circuit.
As the end of the 2013 Truck Racing season approaches, the Renault Trucks MKR-Technology team left leaving the Belgian Zolder track crowned with a victory. On the Saturday, the drivers were not so lucky. Markus Bösiger was involved in a collision that destroyed his truck and prevented him from taking part in the following race. Meanwhile, Adam Lacko had to struggle with several mechanical problems but still managed to come in fourth at the end of the first race. The next day, driving the reserve truck, Markus Bösiger pulled off his victory in race N°4, enabling the team to close the weekend in the finest possible way.
In the course of the weekend, Renault Trucks Benelux welcomed more than 1,500 customers of the brand in its VIP area. It gave them not only the opportunity to share their passion for the competition, but also the new Renault Trucks range. The guests were welcomed at the stand’s entrance by a Renault Trucks T High sleeper cab with a flat floor while six other vehicles from the new range were on display around the stand.
Renault Trucks had also set up various attractions for young and old alike, such as the ever-popular truck racing simulators and an economic driving simulator to raise visitors’ awareness of fuel savings. Finally, the Renault Trucks boutique offered a number of unique items specially developed to tie in with the new range.
The next Truck Racing event will take place on 5 and 6 October at Jarama in Spain.
