Fuel savings win over customers in the UK

After the excellent consumption results achieved with its Renault Premium Long Distance tractor acquired last year, British haulier RL Holding Transport Services Ltd. is adding another Renault Trucks vehicle to its fleet, which already includes around 20 of them. This latest addition is a 26t 460hp Premium Lander 6x2 rear steer rigid fitted with a PM crane.

In 2011, the British haulage firm RL Holding Transport took delivery of a Premium Long Distance as a demonstration vehicle: "We have had impressive fuel results with this vehicle," explains its Managing Director, Rob Holding. "It has been running at between 28.2 & 30.4 L per 100 km and we were so impressed that we ended up buying it!"

The new Premium Lander will be used to transport portable cabins to new building sites and events nationwide. "We are hoping to see more of the same performance with the Premium Lander," says Rob Holding.

In addition, RL Holding Transport found that Renault Trucks provided the company with assistance before, during and after the sale that fully met their expectations: "The professional support we received from the dealer and Renault Trucks’ technical department was second to none," Rob explains, "They worked with us at every stage of the process, to design and building a high specification, quality vehicle which satisfies all our requirements for carrying specialised goods. We have built up a good relationship with Renault Trucks and are very pleased with the aftersales service we have received. Good customer service is something that anyone buying a truck will not compromise on and we have always been well looked after by Renault Trucks."
