Global compact

Launched in July 2000 by Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, Global Compact is an international act which brings together companies, UN bodies, the world of business and civil society around universal principles of protection of human rights, labour law, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
By joining the Global Compact in 2004, Renault Trucks has demonstrated its commitment to the fundamental values it shares with the Volvo Group, which itself joined in 2001.

Participation in the Global Compact implies the subscription to 10 major principles based on a constructive and structured approach, obtaining results that are published each year on the UN site.

This label can facilitate the access to certain markets via demanding calls for tender, allows exchanges of information with other signatories (3 000 participants companies worldwide, in which nearly 400 in France), participation in debates, partnership projects, participation in a network of influential organisations and bodies…

By joining the Global Compact initiative, Renault Trucks marks its commitment to fundamental values and thus gains access to a new tool for dissemination and progress.
