Earth Hour 2014

Saving energy is one of Renault Trucks’ core concerns.
Significant technical developments are implemented to reduce truck fuel consumption, and considerable efforts are also made at the production plants as well as throughout the repair and dealership network to encourage energy saving and protect the environment.

Following the example set by the world’s major monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China or the Port of Sydney, this year Renault Trucks will be once again taking part in the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) Earth Hour initiative on Saturday, 29 March 2014 by switching off facade lighting on its buildings between 20h30 and 21h30.

This symbolic gesture will reflect Renault Trucks’ sustainable commitment to environmental protection.
Staff members, regularly made aware of the need to save energy and preserve the environment, will also be invited to take part in this initiative by turning off their lights at home or making a similar contribution towards protecting the planet.
